A day out in London

“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.”
― Helen Keller,
The Open Door

I often spend Sundays sitting at home, going to the gym and watching TV. However this weekend my bestie  came to town and I planned a fun filled day out.  We started off with cake and tea at PictureHouse Cinema cafe on Shaftesbury Ave - it's fast becoming my fave place to hang out. Pretty, decent prices, can always get a seat, central location and yummy cakes, what more does one need? A slice of Red Velvet and a good convo later we walked off some calories by heading over to Sky Garden. I've been before (and blogged it here) and was very happy to go back again.

It's such an airy, wide space and is never too crowded as you have to pre book, so it feels exclusive and even better - it's free!  We had a wander, took some selfies and chatted more, of course.
Wearing my old military coat from French Conection and my trusty Ridley jeans from Asos.
The view is pretty epic, although we missed the opening of Tower Bridge as we had lunch plans.  The terrace is open during the daytime hours and there's even a handy security guard to take your picture.
The sun came out just before we departed, so we headed back outside to get some sunny pics quick sharp.

We had an excellent roast (and more dessert) at The Folly which is definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.  Bellinis topped off a great day and I rolled home happy and full - which really is all you can ask for from a Sunday :)
