A weekend in Sussex

“The beach is not a place to work; to read, write or to think.”
― Anne Morrow Lindbergh,
Gift from the Sea

I had a three day weekend, which is always a treat and high tailed it down to Brighton to do some eating and socialising in the damp 'Spring' weather.  I started with brunch at The New Club which was delish and then had to walk the length and bredth of Brighton to work it off!

There were a few snack stops along the way too....

Something about the sea side makes me feel peaceful and relaxed - I should get there more often as a contrast to the manic West End of London.  I followed my Brighton trip with a day in the community garden with my Godchildren, who made me scoot around with them across the park - harder than it looks.

This Oreo brownie was probably the highlight of my day - don't tell the kids!
